The Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc., River City Chapter will honor Dr. Carla Sizer for her work to improve the status of women through leadership development and her benevolent philanthropic endeavors to provide scholarships and resources to assist young people in furthering their education in memory of her late son, SPC Dane R. Balcon, who was killed-in-action in Iraq.

Top Ladies of Distinction (TLOD) Inc., is a professional national and humanitarian organization chartered in June 1964 in Tyler, Texas. Our TLOD–River City Chapter was chartered in 1995 in San Antonio, TX. Their mission is to enhance and enrich the lives of youth and adults through national and community-based programs and projects. TLOD-River City Chapter has volunteered and contributed to the San Antonio Community for over 26 years.
