Dr. Carla Sizer is an accomplished and results-oriented professional with a proven record of outstanding military and civilian qualifications in leadership and program management. With a career spanning 22 years in the Air Force, including teaching at the prestigious United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Dr. Sizer has honed her skills in orchestrating high-paced operations in all aspects of leadership.

Throughout her career, she has gained extensive experience in organizational administration, resource management, and contract negotiations. Dr. Sizer possesses a high ability to resolve problems in a deadline-driven environment, thanks to her exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

In 2007, tragedy struck when Dr. Sizer lost her son to the war in Iraq. Drawing on her own experience, she has since become an inspirational figure, using her personal journey to deliver motivational messages about grief, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and other veteran issues. Her ability to empathize and connect with others going through similar challenges has made her a beacon of hope within the veteran community.

Dr. Sizer's leadership skills extend beyond her military career. She is a born leader and mentor, having guided numerous individuals throughout their professional journeys. Her expertise and insights have been recognized and published in several journals and textbooks, solidifying her reputation as a thought leader in the field.

Dr. Sizer's dedication to continuous learning and growth is evident through her achievement of a Doctorate in Management and Organizational Leadership. With her exceptional qualifications, extensive experience, and passion for making a difference in the lives of others, Dr. Carla Sizer continues to inspire and lead.

Dr. Carla Sizer is a retired officer from the United States Air Force after 21+ years of military service. Her last military duty station was as Assistant Professor at the United States Air Force Academy, where she taught in the Department of Management. Courses included Fundamentals of Management, Organizational Behavior, and Human Resource Management.

After retirement from the military, Dr. Sizer served in various roles in Defense, Civil Service and Corporate areas that included Space Control, Cryptography, Cyber Security and Data Analytics. Dr. Sizer graduated from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale with a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management.

She also earned a Master of Public Administration with a minor in Policy from Georgia College and State University and completed her Doctorate in Management and Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix. Her dissertation is titled: The Effects of Mentoring on Job Satisfaction among Military Academicians.

She holds professional certifications: Program Management Professional, Certified Scrum Master, Government Acquisition and Contracting. Academic accomplishments include publication in the International Journal of Knowledge, Culture and Change Management, invited speaking engagements, and keynote addresses.

She collaborated with Dr. Claude Toland: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder: Fighting the Battle Within, for the book, Attitudes Aren't Free: Thinking Deeply About Diversity in the U.S. Armed Forces. Dr. Sizer also collaborated with Dr. Jon Westover in the book: Examining Job Satisfaction: Causes, Outcomes, and Comparative Differences. She was also one of the San Antonio Business Journal 2016 Women's Leadership Award Winners.
