Networking is a great way to meet people and develop strong relationships, where you can help achieve each other’s goals. Admittedly, I am an introvert. Rather an extroverted introvert. I often find myself in positions (both personally and professionally), where I have to step into the spotlight. I cannot tell a lie, I used to find networking events exhausting. I felt uncomfortable approaching people to share my mission, my causes, and the like. To be honest, I felt pushy. Making connections was a struggle. Then a mentor told me to get out there–tell my story with confidence. She told me to develop that elevator pitch, and when I did, the doors of heaven opened up.
